Review of Trigger Man (2007) by David S — 03 Jun 2011
Director West shifts between having an extremely solid grasp on his material and style to having only an amateur's command. The first fifteen minutes are completely over-stylized, and the introduction of a very minor character about 50 minutes in should have been excised.
On the other hand, when he's tracking the three main characters through the woods, or ratcheting up tension by letting nothing happen for long periods of time, the movie works well.
