Horror anthology films are always a great treat to me, even if some of the tales contained within are more interesting than others. Trick 'r Treat was a surprise hit with the horror fan base, and was a welcome return to the days of movies made by companies like Hammer Studios and Amicus Productions.

It's a horror anthology tale that intertwines involving several groups of people in a small town on Halloween night. All of the tales were good, but it's probably the last featuring Brian Cox that's probably the most effecting.

Overall, it's a very good movie that demands to be seen every year on Halloween. I'd rather see films like this take every year in the place of something like the Saw franchise.
