Trick 'r Treat is a film that raises your hopes and ultimately leaves them underwhelmed by delivering a product that looks great with no substance. As other reviewers pointed out, this movie oozes a love for all things all Hallow's eve and conjures memories of so many Halloweens and scary stories told many years ago.
When it turns out there's no brains behind the nostalgia tripping is when the movie falls. Predictable and meaningless holiday fun.
