Review of Trick or Treat (2014) by Marec K — 06 Oct 2009
This is an awesome movie. You may recognize the main character as 'Skippy', the annoying next door neighbor from Family Ties with Michael J. Fox. He pretty much plays me as a kid so I definitely have a personal connection with this film.
Gene Simmons (KISS) plays a heaps cool radio dj and Ozzy Osbourne plays like a religious television preacher guy which is very ironic and cool. Not to give too much away, it's basically about an outcast Metal Head who gets picked on by the jocks at school.
His Metal Idol, Sammi Curr (Coolest dude ever) starts talking to him through an unreleased LP given to him by Nuke (Gene Simmons). He basically gets revenge on the bullies from school but things go a little further than he expected.
And the Soundtrack is totally awesome. Some band from the 80's Called Fastway did the whole thing and they really manage to capture the unique, dark feel reflected by the movie itself.
