Review of Trick or Treat (1986) by Vlad Hellsing — 02 Jul 2008
I've loved this movie for a long time. What actually introduced me to it was the soundtrack which featured all songs by FASTWAY. Though now it may seem cheezy, this is a true metal head movie. There alot of real life rockstar stories thrown into this.
..being banned from playing, being singled out by obnoxious christian ass wipes, etc., but the thing that is really neat is seeing Sammi Curr chanting his satanic backwards message while sitting in a ring of fire and continuing to chant while on fire.
Cameos by Gene Simmons as Nuke the DJ and Ozzy Osbourne as Rev. Aaron Gilstrom is just full out cool, but crediting them as the stars of the movie is absolute crap seeing as how they're only in it the whole of 3 to 4 minutes.
I love the character of Sammi Curr, with his burnt face and stolen Nikki Sixx Shout at the Devil wardrobe, he really comes off as a rockstar. I might just go and watch this movie now...
