Review of Trespass (2011) by Elian D — 15 Sep 2012
Schumacher usad to be a capable director (Batman Excluded). Cage ussualy picks movies that are bad in the best, funniest way possible, and Kidman ussually gets parts in good movies. Among the three of them, you at least expect to have some fun.
Well, preare to be dissapointed!
The plot is so By-the-numbers you probably know what happend just by reading the DVD cover, the charachters - work-a-holic dad, unhappy housewife mom, rebel teenage daughter, pshycho dummy robber, drug addicted robber, psychopath murderer robber - are so standard I know you know what part each one of them play...
So, if you have that unoriginal story and those cardboard characters, at least the cast and director do something new and fresh, right?
Well, Scumacher does his job, a bit amateurish, but isn't actually bad.
Cage phones it in like he's never phoned before... It's more a telegram than a phone.
Kidman... well, aparentlu she can't be bad even if she tries, but it's a crappy part anyway, so that's wasted talent.
So... It is boring and unimaginative and does not worth your time.
