Review of Trespass (2011) by Christine C — 05 Apr 2013
The story plot was quite limited. It doesn't really offer much. It's just one of those films that you will watch when you've watched every movie in the known universe. There are a lot of scenes where in the audience should feel frightened for the characters and concerned but don't really contribute anything to the betterment of the entire story.
Watching the film was like watching the characters trapped in an elevator. Something like that. I don't know if the rest of the world agrees with me, but it has very poor plot because it follows a basic formula wherein a wealthy family experience trials but triumphs at the end and kills the bad dudes.
It's one step below those comedic films which are about a family who defeats the bad guys but doesn't actually end up killing anyone. Trespass is the kind of film which makes you want to think if Nicholas Cage is playing a prank on us or he just really wants to take a break from his awesomeness so he chose to accept this role out of all the others.
