Review of Trespass (2011) by Sarfaraz A — 25 Oct 2013
Trespass - directd by Joel Schumacher film stars Nicolas Cage and Nicole Kidman. Film was premiered at Toronto International Film Festival. Nicolas plays a wealthy man living with his wife (Nicole Kidman) and a teenage daughter (Liana Liberato). Cage doesn't compromise on security of his estate. One night they are paid uninvited visit by burglars posing as lawmen.
I like Nicolas Cage and respect his legacy - but this was complete blunder, although Cage could be seen throughout the film and yet it seemed he was absent from the movie. How, exactly can you figure a person tied and doing nothing most of the time. It was worth appreciating that Cage had decided to back off from the role (he is no stupid and he knew the character was without life). It is predictable - it seems like invaders needed some space and place to shed light on their problems and Miller's Mansion seemed appropriate for this.
