I wouldn't say it's any better or worse than Tremors 3 or 4. It has major problems, but instead of budget constraints and horrible CGI, the problems lie more with the actual plot this time. First of all, Jamie Kennedy being cast was a big problem.

I don't hate him, but he is one of the most despised actors in Hollywood. This movie will do nothing to rectify any hate towards him because he's a 45-year-old man acting like a 20-year-old. He is horribly miscast.

I understand why they cast someone his age for the part, but that just leads to a likely bigger issue with these movies. Michael Gross is simply getting too old for these movies. The guy is nearly 70.

Granted, he looked to be in top shape and seemed to move around just fine, but isn't it time to go in a new direction? Start fresh? My biggest complaint with this movie though is how it just feels like a generic monster movie and not a Tremors movie.

The fun of the Tremors movies is how they have to get to high ground or hide. In this movie, they just run around the African fields with little concern to hide or get off the ground. It's not really a Tremors movie.

The ending is also really dumb. Bride of the Monster dumb. It's the kind of stuff little kids come up with. Anyway, I feel like I'm rambling a bit too much, so I'll just say it's decent, but nothing special and a bit of a letdown.
