Review of Tremors (1990) by Bryce B — 10 Aug 2009
It's one of those movies you can't take too seriously. Tremors is just a down-right fun homage to B-movie monster flicks of the 50's and it's very well made. Kevin Bacon and Fred Ward have chemistry, the non-gay kind.
The monsters, called "graboids", are well designed and original (They look nothing like the worms in DUNE). It's got great humor and sufficient pacing. I recommend it to those dissapointed buy monster movies such as Alien vs.
Predator: Requiem or Alone In The Dark, this movie will surely quench your campy, monster-movie palete.
