Review of Treasure Planet (2002) by Travis F — 11 Feb 2008

This was a very delightful surprise. I shrugged off seeing it when it originally came out, but I decided to give it a try after finding new appreciation for animation. How could I underestimate the studio that had just 5 months prior given us Lilo & Stitch? What I found was a movie that's dazzlingly animated and oh so much fun.

This is pretty much what I was hoping for when I prior to seeing Titan A.E. It's a fine addition to Disney's archive of animated features and an innovative retelling of a classic.I really hope that Disney will be able to bring back 2D animation successfully now that all we see is CG.
