Review of Treasure Planet (2002) by David E — 19 Apr 2010
Though I'm not a huge fan of the source material, this is my preferred film telling of Treasure Island. That said, it's far from Disney's best animated work. The animation itself is above average, overall, though there are is some clumsily blended CG present.
The voice acting is alright, but again, nothing special. There are some very good scenes, notably the sequence contrasting Jim's home life with his life on the ship. Not a must see, but worth checking out if you're a fan of the book or the Disney cannon.
