Review of Treasure Planet (2002) by Cli O — 15 Dec 2008

This may not be one of Disney's finest efforts in the past decade, but the studio's 43rd release is a brisk, entertaining feature that offers some stellar visuals and an obnoxious Martin Short character (who thankfully doesn't appear until later)! Directed by the team who made "The Little Mermaid" (which I loathed!), I thought the various character designs for the aliens were quite creative as was the translation of a Stevenson classic to outer space.

Great voice talent and while I usually can't stand song montages, at least this one had a purpose. Overall, a fun flick but the 2D & 3D work was a bit jarring at times.
