Review of Treasure Planet (2002) by Infrarecon — 22 May 2023
As A kid I never understood fully what this movie was about, as a teenager I got a little hint of an awesome movie, and as a young adult, this made me cry, especially the scene about greatness.
This movie resonates with me and I'm sure a lot of people too.
And still by today's standards it revivals modern animation, making use of 2D and 3D simultaneously in all the right ways.
Of course, though some of the CG that they used now looks bad, you know it holds up still pretty well, and sure the film kinda idles away and then hits you with an ending, but every scene is wholesome entertaining and just understands the audience very well.
This movie is in a league of its own, and frankly, it deserves an honourable sequel.
This animation is the true successor of 2D animation merging the dimension of two formats into one.
Will Disney ever move back to this format probably not, Disney used to have an entire animation production system, but now they have just let history not carry on into the modern era, can you believe that in 2023, Disney, an animation company does not make any animation what a huge miss fire.
Anyway, if you haven't watched this, then the best time to do so is now.
