Review of Treasure Planet (2002) by Patrick S — 30 Mar 2010
It's Pirates....IN SPACE! The mere visual of pirate ships....IN SPACE is enough to get me excited about anything involving that. But Treasure Planet has fine voice-acting, nice action and refining the 2D/CGI combo that Titan AE started.
So why am I not recommending this? Martin Short as the robot BEN....he single handinley kills every scene he's in and then teabags them repeatedly for humiliation. I can't like a movie with such a strong desire to do self-sabotage as much as I would want to.
What a shame.
