'Trash Humpers' is underground auteur Harmony Korine's follow up to 'Mister Lonely' it tells the story of a group of delinquents who go around breaking property, humping trash, and even murdering some people.

The film was shot on a old VHS camera, and then blown up to 35mm film. Korine's original premise of the film was that he wanted make the film seem like it was a lost artifact that was just recently discovered.

The film gets rather tedious fast and I think like some of Korine's work would be better of left as a short film. The film features almost no score, but a few scenes have some people playing drone-esque music on the guitar that will surely remind people of scenes from 'Gummo'.

With Korine you never really know if the film was meant to be a piece of art or if he was just trying to get a reaction out of people so keep that in mind when you watch the picture. I have talked to numerous fans of Korine's work who enjoyed the picture and Korine's knack for disturbing imagery as well as humor in awkward situations.

However, if you've never heard of a Harmony Korine picture then most likely you'll be lost and probably won't enjoy it very much. The film runs about 80 min which feels way too long but if you're a fan of experimental films and shock imagery then 'Trash Humpers' will be for you.
