Review of Trash (2014) by Arun G — 19 Feb 2015
Just saw this amazing film - about 3 kids who take on corrupt cops in order to solve a mystery, involoving corruption, bribery and exploitation. Brilliantly moving, the scenes of police brutality (in Rio?) are achingly depicted but the key messae is the triumph of youthful goodness despite filth, squalor and degradation. Morally uplifting, while ladling out its anti-corruption credentials.
With heartwarming scenes of human loyalty, love and determination among the rubbish.
