Meet the Firpo Brothers: Jon Lovitz, Dana Carvey, and Nicolas Cageâ?¦..? Um, really? Brothers? Yep. Okay. So, if you can swallow that, letâ??s move on. After robbing a bank, the Firpos find themselves trapped in the Rockwellian nightmare of Paradise, Pennsylvaniaâ??cue Twilight Zone theme music.
Cage plays the straight man to Lovitz & Carveyâ??s SNL hootenanny, which gets tiring pretty quickly. The jokes are limp, Carveyâ??s hee-hee squeaky voice is right annoying, and the film goes where you think itâ??s gonna go.
But itâ??s cute. And thereâ??s a three legged dog named Tripod. VF.
