Review of TransSiberian (2008) by Brad C — 19 Aug 2009
What starts out as a great character piece quickly turns "arthouse thriller" - and you can tell it's arthouse because the lead female is a photographer and the film cuts to show her photos after she takes them.
Mortimer is really good in this, but once it starts with the whole "Americans abroad and caught up in drug-smuggling/missing money" the film quickly shifts right down before wrapping everything up at the end with a big perfect pink bow - metaphorically.
