Review of TransSiberian (2008) by Calvin C — 11 Jan 2009
I'm not really sure if this was what I would personally call a "mystery", per se. But it was an excellent thriller, nonetheless. The actors were terrific and I liked the theme of people not really being who they seem to be. I was pissed off at Emily Mortimer's character for refusing to tell the truth until the very end of the movie. By then, though, it was too late and I already hated her for letting Abby get tortured.
There's some beautiful scenery in the film, especially the abandoned church. The Russian landscape is beautiful-- and frigid. "Transsiberian" is an awesome movie.
