Review of TransSiberian (2008) by Jacob R — 13 Jan 2009
A solid thriller that's clever enough to let you think you know where it's going...and then still manage to surprise you. This thing has the plot of maybe four lesser thrillers packed inside it, yet still manages to feel lean.
With this, Session 9, and The Machinist, Brad Anderson has established himself to be a talent for under-appreciated thrillers. While Transsiberian is his best yet, I fear it's only a matter of time until Hollywood hands him a huge bag of money to make something more conventional.
