Review of TransSiberian (2008) by Nataliya B — 09 May 2009
It's about damn time there's a good thriller out there, as I felt 2008 was very lacking. Story in a nutshell: Mismatched couple (Woody Harrelson and Emily Mortimer) meet another mismatched couple (Eduardo Noriega and Kate Mara) on the Transsiberian Express from Beijing to Moscow.
Crazy Russians are looking for drugs, and Noriega's got em. Pretty boring for about the first forty minutes, but it still pays off to listen, as the hints really come in handy for the second half of the movie, which is far more fast-paced.
I thought all the actors involved did a very good job, especially Mortimer. Sort of a dull climax for the story, but the trip there is a solid payoff; one of the few times I actually felt fear watching a movie.
I'd reccomend it!
