Review of TransSiberian (2008) by Lauren B — 16 Aug 2009
After a four year break from features, El Maquinista, director Brad Anderson returns with a much more straight forward and easy to follow thriller set on the namesake railway. A naïve couple find traveling companions in drug mules setting off a criminal game of cat and mouse amid the cold, white landscape.
Unfortunately the film is much less complex than the flawless Machinist but remains taught when it needs to.
