Review of TransSiberian (2008) by Jon A — 16 Jan 2011
Set on the Transiberian railway, this is an excellent suspenseful film. From the beginning you just get the feeling that things aren't quite right. I just enjoyed the fascinating setting of the railway itself and Western Russia, which is even mentioned at one point by one of the characters.
(Is this a bus or a time machine) Eventually things go terribly wrong for someone and you get to see how things are going to play out. There is a little too much coincidence and stupid decisions (at one point I was yelling for someone to do something), but overall I really enjoyed this.
The acting chops of one Sir Ben Kingsley don't hurt things either, he is fantastic as usual.
