Review of TransSiberian (2008) by Matthew M — 04 Aug 2012
Transsiberian is pretty good. It always maintains an underlying tension, and it has the perfect blend of characters - from a good but ultimately tedious man with a train set, to a hard as nails Russian narcotics detective with a chip on his shoulder.
There are fantastic performances all round with the lead three being the standouts. And while the argument is it's a bit slow to get going, I would disagree because there is a point to everything that happens before it all kicks off.
And if there really was ever a film that underlined the old expression "don't talk to strangers", this is it.
