Review of Transporter 2 (2005) by Jessica Y — 24 Jan 2010
Transporter 2 is the next episode in the serial of Jason Stathom Transporter! Although the story is irrelevant of the previous part but the main character and his job are the same.
A child gets kidnapped in the initial part of the movie with whom Jason is attached and then Jason in pursuit of the child fights the odds to get him back.
Transporter 2 is much more ACTION PACKED, STYLISH and a bit CHILD EMOTION FILLED than the first part. No doubt the STYLE works out best for me but the ACTION prove to be too cartoonish for me at some parts especially the scenes in which Jason drives the cars over the buildings, defuses the BOMB below his car with a hook hanging in the junkyard were some really hard to believe and under reality scenes that turned me off.
Louis Leterrier takes it in on as a director in this part and does an average job, however, the styles of the MOVIE were too good!
The biggest flaw in Transporter 2 is its absolutely predictable story that never keeps you hunting. A better story and graphics would have yielded the movie more acceptable to the audience than it is now.
In short, TRANSPORTER 2 does not work with me despite of being an average FAN of JASON STATHOM.
