Wooden acting? Check. Obvious CGI? Definitely. Thin plot? Of course. I still found this more entertaining than "Transformers".

I think that with the money and resources they had available, the filmmakers here made a more interesting, more original movie. No, the special effects aren't nearly as good, and there's no Shia for me to care about for 40 minutes, but the action is choregraphed better, and I like the b-movieness of it all.
