Review of Transformers: The Last Knight (2017) by Zach B — 06 Jul 2017

I happened to enjoy the The Last Knight. Was it the best of the series? No far from it. However it was still an awesome summer blockbuster. If you call yourself a transformer fan go see it. The action is amazing.

The humor is good. The story is easy to follow and the special effects/visuals are superb! Now with that being said I don't think the movie is perfect. The editing is choppy, the aspect ratio is all over the place, it's still 30 minutes too long, and sadly still focuses on the human characters rather than the transformers themselves.

Despite those flaws it is still a wonderful, fun summer blockbuster to experience. I don't understand the eminence hate this movie is getting. The transformers series will never be Oscar worthy. They are ment to be over the top, loud, crazy, wacky, and fun.

Turn your brain off, watch the film, and form your own opinions. Don't ruin the film for someone else. The transformers series was meant to reshape and usher in a new era of transformers stories, not rehash the same tired stories from the 80s cartoon series.

Take it for what it is. If you don't like Michael Bay's vision, stop watching them. It's as simple as that. If you love his vision, then you'll love The Last Knight, just as I have.
