I loved it! Historical background on this movie helped in bringing back memories of the other Transformers movies. It explain further into the history of Cybertron and also why the transformers always came to earth.
As for the critics I believe in viewing a movie for my own self. I love science fiction. If I didn't like the previews of the movie then I wouldn't spend money to go. I was very interested in seeing this movie for the historical content.
