Review of Transformers: The Last Knight (2017) by Maxim D — 01 Sep 2017
This movie was interesting. And by interesting I mean it wasn't bad, but it did have many issues. First of all, THE STORY REALLY RUSHED!!! The main plot was just all thrown together as we can't even focus what is happening! The Decepticons are fine; I do appreciate them having a little personality, even Mohawk.
And the Autobots are surprisingly even more likable than the ones 2 movies after it. Megatron, Hound, Drift, Hot Rod, Barricade, and even Cogman and Nitro Zeus have some of best designs ever. Cade, Izabella, and Sir Edmund were in my opinion one of the best human characters in the Bayformers franchise.
It was also nice to have Starscream's head as a decent easter egg. But even then the plot with Optimus being evil was just freaking pathetic. Vivan in the movie was really annoying, much like this guy from the junkyard whose name I don't even want to know.
The Quinntessa was a pretty weak antagonist, but at least she was better than The Fallen, AND YET THE WRITERS DON'T EVEN EXPLAIN WHY SHE'S A HUMAN IN THE ENDING!!! And one of the new promoted Decepticons, Onslaught, just appears here for just a few milliseconds and gets decapitated being onscreen.
NOW THAT'S NOT OK!!! But overall, this installment was pretty decent.
