Review of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (2023) by Jluis_001 — 09 Jun 2023
2018's Bumblebee worked appropriately as a reboot for the Transformers franchise because it brought a degree of emotionality back to the saga that had become completely cold and lifeless in Michael Bay's hands. Things were looking good for a sequel.
Five long years later it arrives and Paramount along with Hasbro make the same mistake of wanting to be so big that they get lost in all the chaos that once again everything feels like more of the same. Lots of explosions, zero story.
If that always entertained you with these characters, I don't see why it won't now. And if you never liked them before for the same reason, then the same rule applies.
And the ending? Well, I don't think this movie will do very well at the box office so I kinda doubt we'll get to see that crossover, but to be honest that's something I can't say for sure either.
