Review of Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011) by Edd J — 26 Jun 2013
Even though the 3D was well intergrated and the climax was structured pretty well, Dark of the Moon still fails on a huge level. The story is still focused on the humans too much and they don't even have the skill to be interesting, the robots get pushed off screen most of the time, the plot makes no sense, and the climax is over an hour long.
In order to get to the otherwise noteworthy climax, you have to sit through 90 MINUTES of proudly uninteresting military machismo, terrible mythmaking and low brow comedy. Michael Bay said he would improve Transformers 3, and while he kind of has, that is not much to say.
This movie...THIS, is Michael Bay's idea of improvement. Wow, just wow.
