Bland story, unremarkable script, mediocre acting and thin characterisation - the whole is so shallow you couldn't sail a newspaper boat in it, which is what I expected. However, the CGI and the compositing are magnificent and that last hour or so..? Absolutely epic. I rewound a few times to "check that out again". Also, hearing an Autobot with a Scottish accent call someone a "nancy wanker!" after threatening to bottle them did crack me up.
Saved by the visual extravaganza, so just FFWD to the cool stuff.
