Review of Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014) by Bobby L — 09 Sep 2015
I finally got around to watching this. Don't ask me why. Guilty pleasure I guess. This movie wasn't terrible, it was just bad. Maybe that is splitting hairs. There were parts of the movie that I actually liked.
But there were so many other parts that were just terrible. The "bad guy humans" were just ridiculous, and every scene that involved them felt so extremely cheesy. Mark Wahlberg was good, I liked his character.
I actually thought that his assistant was really funny, but **spoiler alert** they killed him right at the start! They still suck at making strong female characters though. They had potential with the scientist girl, but she got so little screentime.
Which begs the question, why aren't there female Transformers? Anyway, it's a movie for those of us that know precisely what we are getting into with Michael Bay. The best thing I can say about it is that it was better than the third movie, which I despised.
