After seeing this film, today, for the first time, and after seeing all of the negative reviews, I still have to agree with most: Any part that doesn't involve the Transformers is dogshit. Mark Wahlberg in this movie was pretty disappointing, as he is known for some pretty decent performances.

But Michael Bay kept sticking his shitty ass script into him and forced him to fling out the same Michael Bay humor. The humor is so out of place in most of the scenes, and Bay even attempted to kill Stanley Tucci's career, by forcing him to mimic John Turturro's shitty character.

While Tucci did give the best performance, in my opinion, he wasn't able to shine as much as in his previous films. Nicola Peltz was okay overall, with a few good lines here and there. Her boyfriend, Jack Reynor, probably had the second worst performance other than T.

J Miller's in the beginning. Now, for the plot. Now that I sit back and think about it, the only major point in the plot that I remember was that humans and the bounty hunter, Lockdown, were hunting down the Transformers.

That's honestly all I remember. After that, the story took too many twists and turns to even understand what was going on. It felt like three separate movies in one as well, since this movie was around 3 hours long, way too long for a film that annoyed the shit out of me at a point.

The annoyance came mostly from the shitty character dialogue during intense moments in the film, especially when they were not needed. These were mostly comic relief bits that were so poorly written that they should have been taken out entirely.

The pacing/editing in the film was pretty bad too, especially during the first act of the movie. A lot of the shots were cut so abruptly that it was difficult to understand what was going on in the scene.

Optimus Prime had his worst performance yet, in my opinion, and the product placement this time around was over the top, unneeded, and occasionally funny due to the stupidity of its presence. As for the good things in this film, the only good things were the Transformers kicking eachothers's asses.

(Spoilers!) The scene near the end of the movie where Mark Wahlberg was duking it out with Lockdown was probably my favorite scene in the movie, as it goes to show that Michael Bay can make a character that isn't a repeat of Shia Labeouf's character, that did nothing to fight against the Decepticons,, and just yelled "BUMBLEBEE!!!!!" all the time.

That scene also reminded me of some of the old cartoons where the humans fought against an almost unstoppable force with bravery and honor. Anyway, that's my review for Transformers: Age of Extinction.

Overall, it was not that good, except for a few moments. 2/5 Stars.
