Review of Transformers (2007) by Hal W — 09 Mar 2014
It had been quite some time since I was in love with the Transformers franchise, which included the TV shows and toys. After watching this film though, I must say that it's brought back a lot of memories, and in a good way. The movie has everything you'd like in a film, ranging from action, comedy, and some memorable scenes. Michael Bay does his best to stay true to the franchise that fans wanted to see. Optimus Prime is voiced by the same man that always did his voice on the tv show and the transformations are dead-on amazing! However I wasn't too happy to see my fave character, Starscream, barely reciting any lines. Also his character model resembles that of an ape. Still every character was pretty cool. Despite a few plaguing advertisement and pop-culture references, Transformers is as much fun as you can have in a movie theater this year.
PS: I got myself a huge Megatron figure at Otakon 2007 for a collector's item. It is the same model as in the movie.
