Review of Transformers (2007) by Brock E — 23 May 2014
A teenage guy wants a girlfriend and a car. Wow, what an original story! Oh wait, we have some robots running around, looking for a box that... well, I won't give it away, but it's pretty stupid.
This might just be the most overrated movie of the 2000's. Michael Bay gets away with murder with this and so many of his other films, because moviegoers these days love to watch a simple CGI-action smorgasbord with no character development.
As long as bunch of robots are running around blowing things up and people are driving cool cars, it's a good enough movie for them. If that's a good enough movie for you, then you'll probably enjoy this and the continuing array of sequels.
