Johnny Depp is definitely good in this movie (he always is) but the loose direction and story makes even him under-performing. Yes, the concept Is good, but quite unrealistic, and there is not really much of Johnny Depp in the movie, he is a computer, so there is just his voice, it does not even sound like that awesome voice of his in this unrealistic and story-less movie.
