Review of Transcendence (2014) by Robotface2 — 27 Apr 2014
Wally Pfister is a great director and is well known for his work with Nolan in the batman series, But does his first movie form the caped crusader a hit....... well sorta of. Transcendence writer Jack Paglen does a great job of writing a unique interesting story while the other actors like Johnny Depp, Morgan Freeman, and Rebecca Hall help the viewer really connect with the struggles and problems of the plot.
That is until the second half of the movie comes around, this is the part that really just lost me.The story just seems to get a little convoluted and a lot of the major plot points were terribly and easily seen before they were even reveled.
The story still kept me waiting to see what would happen next but the ending was very bland and was a sorta "well duh, saw that coming form a mile away" ending. Even though this might not be up to the regular standards of director Wally Pfister but its one that you might, want to check out.
