Review of Transamerica (2005) by Arseniy V — 27 Feb 2008
By all means a good film. On the easily digestible/forgettable side, but consistently good nonetheless. There are a few moments that do transcend the forgettable, each firmly rooted in Ms. Hoffman's wonderful work.
If these moments were built on and explored, the end result would have been much more memorable. Unfortunately, "keeping it light" was obviously a big part of this film's disposition.
