Review of Transamerica (2005) by Max N — 12 May 2008
My wife thought this movie looked quite good, we both like Felicity Huffman in Desperate Housewives so we thought we would give it ago.
I was expecting it to be like "Boys Don't Cry" with Hilary Swank, i.e. full of abuse sadness and pain.
I'm glad to say it was a lot more light-hearted than that! It is more of a road-trip move. Quite humorous and equally touching in parts. The mother of "Brie" was hilarious, worth watching just for her alone. All the characters are performed really well. It was a very believable insight to her life.
