Review of Trance (2013) by Michael S — 01 May 2014

Trance is made up of a clever and interesting concept which puts a spin on what would normally be a simple crime movie. The idea behind the hypnotism is innovative and audacious however the way this idea was delivered could have been better.

The end result was thought provoking albeit after a pretty out of sync bit of madness. Im am not a fan of Danny Boyles work, his delivery is let down by inconsistency in story telling as well as confusing scenes made worse by stupid camera angles and cuts.

I find his style to be unnecessary, whilst Trance had the potential to have been so much more.
