Review of Traitor (2008) by Claire H — 17 Sep 2009
Solid thriller that tries not to go down the road of muslims all being total nut cases.
Cheadle is good as Samir Horn as man with a past and if he is not careful no future, what gives the film its interest is that Cheadle plays a Muslimwith strong convictions which are tested through his actions.
The plot is easy to follow and Guy Pearce is good value as the FBI agent on Cheadles tale.
The biggest problem here is that we have seen all this globe trotting stuff done to death by the Bourne and Bond movies, and although this film is good you get the feeling witha little polish it would have been a very good movie.
Thats not the casts fault ,its just a shame that it feels a bit samey.
