Review of Traitor (2008) by Yannick F — 13 Jan 2010
There was a lot of things that I expected from this movie that I didn't get. It's been a year since Traitor was released and I've finally gotten to see it. I wasn't very impressed. Don Cheadle is a pretty good actor, and i've liked him in several films.
This movie lacks a lot of things. One thing it does not lack is acting, which was the only good thing about the film. Don Cheadle did a good job portraying an agent on the run. What the movie didn't have enough of was substance.
I felt that a lot of things were left open, and they killed off a bunch of characters just to get them out of the movie. I don't know how to explain it I mean, when the movie started, I was thinking about how the film would progress and what would happen.
I thought the movie was very odd in it's premise from the first 10 minutes. The whole cinematography, and placement of camera angles was really awkward through my eyes. It seemed that they were trying to show me a beautiful camera position instead of showing me the actual movie.
Some scenes were really rushed, and some other scenes were unbelievably dull. It was just a weird movie. I expected much more, and for a movie with a plot like this, and an actor like Don Cheadle, it should have been better.
