Review of Traitor (2008) by Rolf E — 13 Aug 2011
"The Truth Is Complicated.".
An absolutely ingenious espionage thriller, one that is disguised as a psychological thriller and dazzles with its consistently nonstop cat and mouse mind games. Director Jeffrey Nachmanoff delivers a searing knockout blow of purely slick and stunningly intelligent fimmaking that's completely engaging from start to finish. A truly entertaining edge if your seat psychological espionage thriller that I guarantee will grab you and hypnotize you with its intensely diabolical and clever plotlines. Traitor is very well done both inside and out, a smashing, pulse-pounding, nerve-sheering, mind-bending, ferociously intense and breath-taking thrill machine that doesn't let off the gas pedal until the credit roll. An endlessly captivating, intelligently crafted and action-packed modern day spy game that's just loaded with suspense and drama.
Don Cheadle gives his best performance since Hotel Rwanda, a brilliant leading role from one of my personal favorite actors. Guy Pearce is spectacular as always. Jeff Daniels gives a great supporting role. Great acting from a well-rounded cast whom were all thoroughly convincing throughout. One of the better espionage films that I've ever seen.
