Review of Traitor (2008) by Ernst M — 28 Dec 2011
It seems that terrorist movies are coming out every month and they continue to fail to impress. This movie stands out thanks solely to Don Cheadles performance. He is a great actor and his work is always believable.
This movie does not stand out from the rest of the terrorist movies but it is still enjoyable thanks to Cheadle. The movie is kind of slow and the ending is a bit too abrupt as if the director was hurrying to get the movie over with.
After an initial slow build up for the final climax scene we have everything end too quickly. The problem is that the movie being so slow gives the viewer the chance to think about the movie and expect what is going to happen at the end.
Overall I would reccomend this only if you are a Don Cheadle fan as the movie does not have anything else going for it. However if you are not familiar with his work then I would reccomend you too watch Hotel Rwanda which is a great film and probably his best work.
