Review of Trainwreck (2015) by Connor M — 29 May 2017
I saw nothing but great things about this movie, so I was coming into it with some promise. I don't mind Amy Schumer so much, she's a little hit or miss for me, but maybe this could be one of her stronger efforts.
The first hour or so I really enjoyed with well-timed jokes and interesting characters with intriguing purpose. I never thought LeBron James would be a great supporting actor, but I was pleasantly surprised, and I would love to see him in a few other films down the road.
Once our two lovers take a break from each other, I felt like the movie started to drag quite a bit, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would end up turning to be. Nevertheless, Bill Hader was brilliant as usual, and Amy was very comfortable in her role.
The fabulous Brie Larson was great during her moments, and the whole cast as a whole did a very fine job. Great comedy with a cute story.
