Review of Trainwreck (2015) by Joe I — 04 Jan 2016
This movie is probably everything you think it was. Amy Schumer tells dirty jokes, Bill Hadar plays an average guy with an tick. Judd Apatow begins the film a comedy then throws some real life situation drama in.
Not a fan of any of this? That's fine. I personally am a fan, mostly of Apatow. I do know the formula as I stated before but there is something about his portrayal of situations that millions of everyday people that makes it more relatable to me at least.
Amy Scuhmer's script fits with the subject matter of a Apatow helm film which mkes the pairing work the more. The two leads honestly have a great chemistry an there are surprising funny support from the likes of LeBron James, Tilda Swinton and Colin Quinn.
If you're curious, check it out. I think you'll find something to like.
