Review of Trainwreck (2015) by Mandela W — 01 Apr 2016

With all the hype and talk about Trainwreck I must say the film is about what I expected. It wasn't that funny. Amy Schumers brand of comedy is really subpar and she is just not that great of a comedian she got only maybe 2 laughs out of me. Amy schumer is also hard to take seriously when doing a dramtic moment. it is seriously the same thing as ashton kutcher she is always gonna be a comedic actress in my book.

The film had a few moments of hilariousness came from John cena, Lebron James and others. It is a very unique story that does something rare in looking at a female who is promiscious and doesnt tie her self down. Judd apatow story wise directed this very well. Solid plot cinematically speaking.

Bill hader was really good here and much funnier than schumer. I liked that his character was able to see past her bullshit and bring out the real woman in her. colin Quinn was pretty funny. Lebron James in his first movie role was tremendous. To think he is already talented and great as a basketball player but to be able to jump into the film world no problem is really something.

Overall Trainwreck isn't exactly a trainwreck but its not the best comedy of last year, that's for sure.
