Review of Trainwreck (2015) by Tyler S — 10 Apr 2016

Amy Schumer flat out surprised me here with her acting chops. I expected nothing but a comedy, but was surprised to see the balance between heart and laughs. The movie may have more heart than comedy when it comes down to it.

Throw in a fantastic Lebron cameo, some halraious one liners, awesome performances and you have a top notch comedy that exceeded my expectations by a bunch.

Schumer plays a character who drinks a lot, plays a lot, and doesn't take relationships serious. I have seen this done in Hollywood, but rarely is it executed this well with a fine balance. It was a good movie that kept me uplifted with the humor. Schumer is a young fine talent who can do more than make me laugh. That is what I will ultimately take out of this film.
